About Tim
I welcome clients into my private practice, where I provide individual, couples, and family therapy.
I work with women and men who struggle with emotional intimacy, to accept their own complexity, rediscover and value their natural depth, and to learn practical relationship skills. This approach is a product of many years in private practice, and as supervising therapist in an outpatient clinic and psychiatric hospital where, for 30 years, I provided psychotherapy and case management to clients with major mental illness and substance abuse problems, as well as supervising teams of other professionals.
My background includes:
-
A master's degree in Psychology from California State University, Chico
-
A license from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a marriage and family therapist (MFT, license #MFC29777)); and
-
Clinical membership in the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT)
I'm also happily married; the father to four grown sons, including two stepchildren; and recently became a grandfather.
I currently offer teletherapy only. When I used to maintain an office location, my little dog Tilly came to work with me daily, greeting clients with happy enthusiasm.
